Firefox crashed so I cannot get into registry to clean it up. It is like Firefox is holding my Laptop hostage?

I was able to get back to explorer but I cannot go to file and remove firefox. Cannot download register clean up either. I just get a large box say firefox crashed saying will notify and try to fix. But they don;t fix. What is my next step. I tried many things but nothing works. Any help please?
